The Voice: Battle Of Champions will be getting more exposure in Season 29. NBC‘s hit singing competition series will air in a two-hour timeslot for the entire spring cycle from 9 pm to 11 pm, beginning with its premiere on Feb. 23. Brilliant Minds, which airs at 10 pm Mondays, will air its remaining six episodes later this season or in the summer, NBC said Wednesday.

The revamped season marks the return of judges Kelly ClarksonJohn Legend and Adam Levine, who will reunite for the first time since Season 16.

As we previously reported, Season 29 is promising an updated format for the new season, which the network said will be “infused with fast-paced, competitive elements” inspired by NBC Sports, which has Super Bowl LX, the Milan Cortina Olympic Winter Games and the NBA All-Star Game all on the docket this month.

There will be four rounds with the coaches competing against each other in a “Triple Turn Competition” – essentially vying for the most three-chair turns – with the winner gaining a special advantage in the next round.  The coach with the most three-chair turns automatically earns a “Super Steal” for the battles rounds, which can only be used once and trumps any other coach’s attempt to steal, guaranteeing a win.

In the knockouts, each coach brings back two fan-favorite artists from their teams in previous seasons to compete in an “In-Season All-Star Competition” and the coach with the most sing-off wins is guaranteed a second finalist in the finale. OG Voice coach CeeLo Green will determine the winner.

The semifinal and finale week will kick off with a Top 9 semifinal and culminate in a Top 4 finale, and for the first time a new voting block comprised of super fans and past Voice artists will be involved. Coaches will also enter the competition with 10 artists per team.

The Voice Season 28 with coaches Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan and Reba McEntire, reached more than 30 million total viewers cross-platform to date, according to NBC and Nielsen. Aiden Ross was crowned the winner of Season 28 in December.

The Voice is a presentation of MGM Television, Warner Horizon Unscripted Television, a Warner Bros. Television Company, and ITV Studios The Voice USA, Inc. The series was created by John de Mol, who serves as an executive producer along with Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Amanda Zucker, Kyra Thompson, Adam H. Sher and Barry Poznick.
