1 killed after vehicle goes off road, hitting Somersworth home, police say

EARLIER WE SAW THAT VEHICLE, WHICH APPEARED TO BE A PICKUP TRUCK, GETTING PULLED FROM THE HOUSE BY A WRECKER. WE KNOW THIS CRASH WAS DEADLY HAPPENING JUST BEFORE 6 P.M., INVOLVING A VEHICLE THAT HIT OTHER PARKED VEHICLES AND THEN ENDED UP HITTING THIS HOUSE ON WEST HIGH STREET. OFFICERS ARE WORKING TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE CRASH. THE SOMERSWORTH FIRE DEPARTMENT AND DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS WERE ALSO ON SCENE. West High Street in Somersworth has reopened after a fatal crash Thursday evening. Officials said the crash happened just after 6 p.m. and involved a vehicle that struck several parked cars before leaving the road and crashing into a home on West High Street. Multiple levels of the home were severely damaged. The Somersworth Fire Department and Department of Public Works were also on scene. The name of the person who was killed is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. No additional information has been released.
