Inferi will be replacing Vulvodynia as direct support on Defeated Sanity‘s spring North American tour. That run will see Organectomy appearing on all dates, with additional performances from Excresence, Scasm, and Horrific Vision scheduled. The unexpected touring opportunity comes at an opportune moment for Inferi, who have a new album titled “Heaven Wept” due out April 10th. Defeated Sanity said of the lineup shuffle:
“Unfortunately due to outside factors Vulvodynia are no longer able to make this tour. Thankfully Inferi were able to step up here and replace them on short notice.”
Vulvodynia have yet to issue a public statement on their absence from the trek as of press time. However, the band have had a turbulent few months in the wake of allegations emerging last fall against their newly recruited vocalist.
