The ATP 250 Montpellier has provided some excellent attacking tennis all week and it will feature some very promising quarterfinal matchups this Friday. Defending champion Felix Auger-Aliasssime is still on the hunt for a repeat after beating Stan Wawrinka (who played his last ever match at this event) and there are still three French players alive in the draw. All four quarterfinal matchups will be happening for the first time ever, which makes them all the more interesting and unpredictable.

ATP Montpellier Quarterfinal Predictions
Adrian Mannarino vs Arthur Gea

Head-to-head: first meeting

A battle of generations of French tennis between two players with a 16-year age gap. Gea benefitted from two retirements in a row to get to this stage, while Mannarino got a fantastic win over Ugo Humbert. He’s always a threat on a quick surface like this and might well use his experience to overcome his younger countryman and make another tour level semifinal.
Prediction: Mannarino in 3

Martin Damm vs Luca Nardi

Head-to-head: first meeting

Damm has been playing some sensational tennis all week, with back-to-back straight set wins against Hubert Hurkacz and Roberto Bautista Agut. If he can keep up that kind of level, he can go far; however, Nardi himself has been playing great all week, beating Flavio Cobolli and Nikoloz Basilashvili in straight sets. If both players can keep their level up, this should be a fantastic match and a very hard one to predict.
Prediction: Damm in 3

Tallon Griekspoor vs Titouan Droguet

Head-to-head: first meeting

Griekspoor was on an absolutely terrible streak coming into this tournament, losing five matches and 11 sets in a row since late last year. However, a victory over Pablo Carreño Busta has surely given him a boost and he’s the kind of player who can beat anyone and compete for this kind of titles when he is at his best. Droguet won’t be an easy opponent, but Griekspoor should make it through.
Prediction: Griekspoor in 3

Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Arthur Fils

Head-to-head: first meeting

Auger-Aliassime had an incredible end of 2025 that saw him rise all the way to #5 in the rankings, but he couldn’t really maintain that momentum into 2026, with injury playing a role in that. With that said, given how strong he is indoors, he is the favorite to defend his title and this match might well be his biggest hurdle, with Arthur Fils certainly eager to have a huge 2026 after injury derailed his progress last year. It is the kind of matchup that could easily happen deep in a Slam or Masters 1000 event going forward if both stay healthy.
Prediction: Auger-Aliassime in 3
