Described as a new home for LACMA’s permanent collection, the new wing is defined by a long, horizontal, glass and concrete structure that curves and stretches along Hancock Park and across Wilshire Boulevard. An elevated main floor is devoted almost exclusively to exhibition space, entrances to which are via an elevator and two exterior staircases.
