If you’re a parent of more than one young child, you know that getting out the door on time can feel like a full production. It’s nearly impossible to get everyone moving at the same time or at the same speed. Apparently, the same is true in the animal world, as this adorable video shared by Sam (@on.a.fieldtrip) on Instagram proves.

The clip begins with a mama skunk leading a whole parade of babies out of a neighborhood yard and toward a country road. When she reaches the pavement, she speeds up, and so do all but one of her babies. While the rest of the family makes it safely across, one little straggler lingers behind in the grass, taking his own sweet time before finally crossing the road. It’s adorable! Sam shared in the video’s caption, “Some of us just take a little longer to get where we’re going.” Maybe he was stopping to smell the flowers and enjoying the beautiful day!
