NEED TO KNOW
Since December 2025, a pair of AI-generated conjoined twins, Valeria and Camila, have confused the internet by sharing hyperrealistic images of themselves
Many Instagram posts see them on nights out, on vacation and even at a corporate job, mimicking the types of posts one might see from any real-life influencer
With 296,000 followers, Valeria and Camila’s page even addresses fan questions about their lifestyle, biology, romantic history and the veracity of their humanity
Social media users are questioning the legitimacy of a viral set of conjoined twins known as Valeria and Camila, with many speculating that their posts are generated by AI.
Since the sisters started sharing on Instagram last year, with their oldest available post dating back to Dec. 12, 2025, the account has garnered 296,000 followers. The page’s feed includes both photos and videos, which largely feature Valeria and Camila posing in mirror selfies, at home and alongside friends.
The images usually see them in glamorous outfits and bathing suits, and per their bio, they claim to be based in Miami. A post of them wearing a one-shoulder, cropped tank top suggests they attended the College Football National Championship game on Monday, Jan. 19.

Since their content started appearing on the internet, multiple news outlets have taken to debunking their authenticity. Vice noted that the avatars stand out from similarly digitally made creators because Valeria and Camila maintain they are real, while other AI-generated personas typically disclose their falsehood.
PEOPLE reached out to Valeria and Camila’s social media pages for comment.
Indeed, the twins go above and beyond to build the narrative of their life story. A “Q&A” Instagram Stories highlight on their page offers further details about the conjoined influencers, like the fact that they are 25 years old and wear mostly tailor-made clothing.
They claim to work as accountants, as shared alongside a series of selfies snapped at a desk, but claimed they are only paid a collective single salary.
On multiple occasions, the social media sensations — who are also on TikTok, where they have only about 4,050 followers — have said that they are single, but they “date as one.” In several posts, they claimed they’ve previously “tried dating separately and it didn’t go so well.”

They also answered some more in-depth, biological questions in the Q&A roundup. One post explained how they eat and drink, writing, “We sometime get the same cravings but we each have our own stomach so we can eat different and sometimes feel hungry or thirsty at different times. It’s all teamwork!”
They also addressed the scar on their back that can be seen in some of their posts. “Our spines were dangerously conjoined so we’ve had a few surgeries and operations throughout our life after birth, and so we have our beauty scar,” read their explanation.
In another video included in the Instagram highlight pinned to their profile, the pair answered the AI allegations directly.
“We move, we talk, we are obviously not AI,” Camila — who can be identified by her curlier hairstyle — told the camera as they both laughed.
