Moving Day has arrived at the 2026 WM Phoenix Open, and with pristine scoring conditions expected on Saturday at TPC Scottsdale, there should be plenty of fireworks during the third round of golf’s biggest party. Leading the way is 23-year-old Ryo Hisatsune, who begins the day one shot clear of the field with the young Japanese star aiming for his first victory on the PGA Tour, fresh off a T2 at Torrey Pines last week.
Leading the chasing pack is countryman Hideki Matsuyama, who has conquered TPC Scottsdale twice, now seeking a third title in the desert. Chris Gotterup, the 18-hole leader and a winner already this season, is three shots back of Hisatsune, while Matt Fitzpatrick, Si Woo Kim and Akshay Bhatia headline the group needing to rally from four behind. Lurking seven off the pace is Scottie Scheffler, another two-time champ at TPC Scottsdale, who recovered from a woeful first-round 73 to fire a 65 on Friday and get back in the hunt.
