Expert available: European Union reaches trade deal with the United States

The United States and the European Union reached a preliminary agreement on a trade deal that will impose a 15% tariff on most European goods entering the U.S. European Union political expert Petia Kostadinova, associate professor of political science at the University of Illinois Chicago, can comment on the deal, the U.S.-EU trade relationship and the importance of averting a trade war as the agreement restores predictability in the transatlantic trade relations, and secures Europe’s access to strategic energy resources.
