Dozens of firefighters and police ascended on Ross Park Mall early Sunday morning. Allegheny County dispatchers say crews were called to the area around the mall around 4:15 a.m. Sunday. Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 crew on scene could see firefighters going in and out of the building near the JCPenney’s entrance. According to the Reserve Volunteer Fire Department the fire was in a void space between the floors. Firefighters say the fire also elevated carbon monoxide levels throughout the complex.Right now the mall remains closed. A post on the mall’s website says they will try to open later Sunday at noon. Dozens of firefighters and police ascended on Ross Park Mall early Sunday morning.

Allegheny County dispatchers say crews were called to the area around the mall around 4:15 a.m. Sunday.
