Paige Bueckers continues to collect admirers well beyond the basketball world, and her latest supporter is about as iconic as it gets. Olympic legend Usain Bolt revealed this week that his interest in the Dallas Wings has gone from casual fandom to a full-season commitment.
Bolt made a courtside appearance Friday night in Miami to watch Bueckers play with Breeze BC at Unrivaled, where he spoke with TNT Sports about how his admiration for the Wings’ rookie star has grown over the past year. What started as a one-off interaction during the 2025 WNBA season has now turned into season tickets for 2026.
“I’m definitely a fan,” Bolt said during the broadcast. “We’ve been to a few games in Dallas. We actually are getting season tickets this season, so I’m looking forward to seeing much more games.”

Usain Bolt Expands Support for Paige Bueckers, Dallas Wings
However, Bolt’s connection to Bueckers dates back to last summer, when he attended multiple Wings games in Dallas. During that stretch, he met Bueckers for the first time and received a signed jersey. He returned the following night to watch Dallas face the New York Liberty and saw Bueckers score 20 points in a win, a performance that clearly left an impression.
The endorsement carries added weight given Bolt’s stature in global sports. Widely regarded as the greatest sprinter of all time, he won eight Olympic gold medals and still holds world records in the 100 meters, 200 meters and 4×100 relay.
Since retiring, Bolt has become a familiar presence at basketball events, particularly on the women’s side, often attending games alongside his partner, Jamaican model Kasi Bennett.
Paige Bueckers’ Profile Continues to Rise
For Bueckers, the attention reflects both her production and her pull. The 24-year-old averaged 19.2 points, 5.4 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.6 steals during her rookie season, earning All-WNBA Second Team honors as the only rookie selected. She also won three straight Rookie of the Month awards and set a rookie record with a 44-point game.
Those individual accomplishments came despite Dallas finishing 10–34 and last in the WNBA standings. Rather than dim her profile, the context amplified it. Bueckers’ ability to produce at an elite level on a rebuilding roster only strengthened her reputation after transitioning from a national championship run at UConn.
The Wings are hoping that momentum translates into greater visibility in 2026. Dallas is scheduled to host three games at American Airlines Center, including an August matchup against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. That same matchup drew more than 20,000 fans last season, the largest WNBA crowd in Texas history.
With Bolt now among those committing to see Bueckers in person throughout the season, the Wings’ rising star continues to expand her reach — one fan at a time, no matter how famous.
