Security — with an assist from Patriots wide receiver Kyle Williams — needed to take down a streaker during the fourth quarter of Super Bowl 2026 on Sunday.

With 12:54 remaining in the game and the Patriots’ offense on the field, a shirtless fan, with a message written across his back and his chest, sprinted onto the field, and one video clip showed him crossing midfield and weaving through a cluster of security guards.

The streak spread his arms out wide as he glanced around him and continued running.

Then, Williams, a rookie wideout, started to give chase, and the streaker slid near the 10-yard line as Williams and a security guard closed in.

While the moment wasn’t shown on the NBC broadcaster, play-by-play announcer Mike Tirico sarcastically referred to the man as a “rocket scientist” as the game stopped for security to address the incident.

It marked just the latest Super Bowl with a streaker, too, as a shirtless man ran onto the field — but didn’t make it far before getting tackled — two years ago during the Chiefs’ showdown with the 49ers, and two people were arrested that night for streaking.

There were streakers who were arrested during Super Bowls 2021 and 2020, too.

After the stoppage, the Patriots’ offense continued driving down the field and scored their first touchdown of the game, when quarterback Drake Maye connected with Mack Hollins.

But the New England struggled to move the ball the rest of the night against a suffocating Seattle defense, with Maye turning the ball over three times — with two interceptions — and watching as one of his fumbles was returned 44 yards for a touchdown during Seattle’s 29-13 win.

Kenneth Walker III rushed for 134 yards, while Sam Darnold threw for 202 yards and a touchdown and Jason Myers converted four field goals.
