Wootton High School on lockdown after shooting, person in custody, police say

Wootton High School is on lockdown Monday afternoon after a person was shot inside the school and a person was taken into custody, police said.Montgomery County police said officers were called around 2:15 p.m. to the school in Rockville for a preliminary report of shots fired.As of 3 p.m., county police said all roads to the school are closed.All students who ride a bus will take their regular routes home, police said. Parents of bus riders are asked not to come to the school.Reunification for non-bus riders will be shared shortly. (Earlier, police announced a nearby middle school as the reunification site, but that is no longer the case.)The Baltimore office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said its agents are responding to assist in the investigation.No further information was immediately released.This developing report will be updated.
