(WPDE) — A guy from Myrtle Beach is hoping to become a household name.

Isaiah Moro is auditioning on “American Idol,” which you can catch right here on ABC15.

He’s 20-years-old and has more than 10 million views on TikTok.

Moro said a producer reached out, asking him for an audition. Skeptical at first, he did some research and realized it was no joke.

“if you can send some videos, we can set up a zoom audition instead of going to those big open auditions,” he said. “I just had to do one on zoom in front of like three people and I didn’t have to wait in line for 6 hours like most people.”

You may have seen Moro singing karaoke every week at 810 Bowling Alley.

ABC 15’s Anthony Winn showed him an old TikTok to reflect back on, asking him what advice he has for his younger self.

“Tell this guy get rid of the mullet for one and things are going to get better as much as you think you are stuck, things get better they always will and just love God believe in him,” he said.

You can see Moro sing for the judges on Monday night’s episode of “American Idol.”
