ROCHESTER, N.Y. — At Golisano Children’s Hospital, an annual winter tradition is bringing big smiles to young patients.
This year’s outdoor snow sculpture, created by artist Eric Jones, features Super Mario Bros characters Mario and Luigi. The sculpture is part of Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week.
The project was organized by the nonprofit Hearts for Isabella, founded in memory of a child lost to a congenital heart defect.
Their goal is to bring joy to kids watching from their hospital windows and raise awareness for congenital heart defects.
