San Francisco 49ers defensive end Keion White was shot early Monday morning at a Mission Street nightclub following an argument involving rapper Lil Baby, according to a police report viewed by The Standard. Police have not named a suspect.
The Sunday night event continued into early hours Monday at Dahlia’s, a bar and nightclub at 1799 Mission St. The party included several strippers on the main floor and a private party downstairs where White was shot.
Multiple social media posts that appeared to be from the party at Dahlia’s showed Lil Baby, whose given name is Dominique Jones. The musician performed Sunday night in San Francisco, according to an event listing (opens in new tab) and a social media post (opens in new tab).
Representatives for the rapper did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
A witness interviewed by police said that Jones’ entourage was on the party’s main floor and tried to enter White’s private event. White then got into an argument with the rapper, the witness told police.
When the witness went upstairs to ask for the management’s help to defuse the situation, he said he heard two gunshots. After he rushed downstairs, he found White shot in the left leg. The witness said he did not know who shot White.
Another party attendee interviewed by The Standard said that she did not see the shooting but heard four gunshots as she tried to go downstairs.
Topless strippers were still sweeping up dollar bills when police entered the club to investigate the 4:06 a.m. shooting, the report said.
“As I entered, I saw numerous scantily clad females picking up dollar bills that were strewn all over the floor,” the police report’s author wrote. “Some of the females were topless and appeared to have been adult entertainers.”

As police went downstairs to locate the victim, who was found to be White, party goers were still leaving the event, the report notes. When asked who had shot him, White was uncooperative, according to the report. A 49ers representative said White is undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
Police found numerous pieces of potential evidence, including a 9mm shell casing and a .45-caliber casing near the scene of the shooting.
Investigators pulled footage from surveillance cameras at the scene and found an abandoned cell phone on the steps leading into the downstairs event.
Jones is a Grammy-winning rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. His fifth and most recent album, WHAM, was released last year and debuted atop the Billboard 200.
