Syracuse, N.Y. — Four-star Class of 2027 wide receiver Javien Robinson has listed Syracuse in his final five schools.
Robinson, listed at 6-foot-1 and 189 pounds, plays wide receiver and cornerback for McKeesport (Pennsylvania), where he is a teammate of four-star running back Kemon Spell. Syracuse was targeting both players before Spell committed to Georgia.
Syracuse will now compete with Miami, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and West Virginia as the former Big East quintet vies for one of the best pass catchers in the Northeast.
“The love from the offensive staff is great,” Robinson said of Syracuse to Rivals. “(Wide receivers coach Josh) Gattis has a strong message about the talent he coached and produced, and that he can take my talent to the next level and have me play to the best of my ability.”
Robinson, a two-time All-Conference selection, visited West Virginia and Rutgers before the dead period began. He visited Syracuse for the Orange’s 2025 season finale against Boston College.
The recruiting services have differing opinions on Robinson. Rivals has him ranked as the No. 16 player in Pennsylvania and the No. 62 wide receiver in the country. They are joined by ESPN in the belief that Robinson is a three-star talent.
Robinson is, on the other hand, ranked as a four-star recruit, the No. 8 player in Pennsylvania and the No. 21 wide receiver in the country by 247sports.
Syracuse is still in pursuit of its first four-star commit in the Class of 2027. The Orange appears headed in the correct direction with Robinson and four-star cornerback Bryce Williams.
Even without a four-star commitment, Syracuse has the seventh-best recruiting class in the country with eight three-star commitments.
