DERBY, Kan. (KWCH) – Dinosaurs were on the move on Tuesday at Field Station: Dinosaurs in Derby.
The business decided to move three large, true-to-size dinosaur sculptures out of the park and into the nearby golf course, where visitors will be able to see the dinosaurs in a more up-close environment.
A landscaping company was hired to help with the move to make sure they are transported safely.
“We’re doing this ahead of our Spring Break sneak peek, March 14 through the 22, so that we can have something new and exciting for the folks to come out and look at, along with our Jurassic Petting Zoo,” said Steven Howe, Operations Manager for Field Station: Dinosaurs.
The park features 44 animatronic dinosaurs, dinosaur displays, mini golf, fossil digging and a maze. The park is currently closed for the winter, but will reopen in March.
