The Guthrie family has posted several videos pleading for the release of Nancy Guthrie.
In the first video, posted on the night of 4 February, Savannah Guthrie addressed the potential abductors.
“We are ready to talk,” she said. “We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her.”
On 5 February, her brother Camron said in a video that the family still had not received any contact from “whoever is out there holding our mother”, adding: “We want to hear from you.”
The family released a third video on 6 February where Savannah Guthrie said: “We received your message, and we understand.” She added: “This is very valuable to us – and we will pay.”
An apparent ransom note contained two deadlines: one at 17:00 on 5 February and another on 9 February.
Ahead of the reported ransom deadline on 9 February, Savannah Guthrie released another video pleading for the public to help locate her missing mother.
“I just want to share a few thoughts as we enter another week of this nightmare,” she said in a the video posted on Instagram. “She was taken, and we don’t know where. And we need your help.”
