SAN ANTONIO – Jeremy Sochan is set to hit the open market after reaching an agreement with the San Antonio Spurs to be released, clearing the way for the forward to become a free agent, sources told ESPN.

According to Shams Charania on X (formerly Twitter), Sochan, a member of the 2023 All-Rookie team, is expected to choose from multiple interested teams, according to the report.

The former No. 9 overall pick in the 2022 draft made the Rising Stars team in each of his first two NBA seasons.

ESPN reported that Sochan and the Spurs explored trade options at the deadline in an effort to find a new opportunity, ultimately deciding on his release this week.
