Man’s body recovered from Columbia River in Multnomah County

MULTNOMAH COUNTY, Ore. (KATU) — Authorities in Multnomah County are investigating after a man’s body was pulled from the Columbia River on Wednesday.

Deputies with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office were called out to the area just before 1:30 p.m.

Authorities say the body of an adult man was recovered near the Camas Power Lines, in the area of Lady Island.

Officials say the body was transported to Chinook Landing to meet with a medical examiner. Investigators did not reveal any details on the condition of the body.

This case remains under investigation.
