Yet risk becoming the symbol of *** dying downtown. Today, I’m thrilled to share the first renderings of that next chapter. The Humana Tower is going to be transformed into *** world-class 1000 room convention hotel and more. It will bring more people to Louisville every day, create hundreds of local jobs, help us attract more and larger events to the convention center, fairgrounds, and other venues. It will strengthen downtown, our entire city, and the entire Commonwealth of Kentucky. We have 151 years of experience hosting the world in Louisville for the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Derby Festival, and the transformation of downtown will help us solidify our reputation as the best city in America to host iconic festivals and events.
