“Deputy Steinbrecher arrived to find the eagle alive but injured, and Animal Control Officers White and Plamondon quickly joined to safely capture and transport the bird to Think Wild for care,” Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) said in a post on Facebook.

Officials say that despite every effort being made, the eagle’s injuries were too severe.
