As Unrivaled enters the home stretch of the 2026 season, Angel Reese is throwing her hat in the ring to shake things up.
Reese announced on Wednesday she will be joining Rose BC for the remainder of the season.

When Unrivaled revealed the pool of 48 players participating in the 2026 season, Reese wasn’t among them. Even though no formal reason was given for her absence, she missed 14 games for the Chicago Sky during the 2025 WNBA season primarily due to a back injury.
Three weeks after the Unrivaled season started, Reese responded to a fan-made video on X that featured highlights of her playing for Rose BC in 2025: “ugh i kinda miss it” with the single-tear emoji.
The 23-year-old was part of Unrivaled’s inaugural season in 2025. She played for Rose BC, along with Chelsea Gray, Kahleah Copper, Brittney Sykes, Azurá Stevens and Lexie Hull.
That group won the Unrivaled championship, defeating Vinyl BC in the final. Rose BC made the postseason on the strength of a 5-0 record in February after losing four of five games in January. Reese was unable to play in the playoff games due to a wrist injury.
Reese became the first player in Unrivaled history to record a 20-20 game in Rose’s 72-63 win over Lunar Owls BC on Feb. 21, 2025. She was also named Defensive Player of the Year and to the All-Unrivaled second team after averaging 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds in 14 games.
Unrivaled’s regular season runs through February 27. The postseason begins with the first round on Feb. 28, followed by the semifinals on March 2 and championship game on March 4.
