BALTIMORE (WBFF) — It’s official — right-handed pitcher Chris Bassitt is heading to Charm City after signing a one-year contract with the Baltimore Orioles worth a reported $18.5 million.

Last season, the 36-year-old went 11-9 with a 3.96 ERA in 32 appearances for the Toronto Blue Jays.

He also made seven relief appearances during last year’s postseason, tallying a 1.04 ERA with 10 strikeouts.

In 11 years, Bassitt has made 232 total appearances, starting 218 times, for the Chicago White Sox (2014), Oakland Athletics (2015-2021), New York Mets (2022) and Blue Jays (2023-2025).

In 2021, he received his first All-Star Game selection with the Athletics.

He’s also one of just seven MLB pitchers to start at least 30 games in each of the past four seasons.
