Enzo Fernandez has credited Liam Rosenior with unlocking a new dimension to his game, with the Chelsea captain revealing a specific change that has transformed the team’s attacking output.

Chelsea fans knew just how quality Enzo Fernandez was before this season, but he’s gone up a level in the current campaign.

He’s scored 11 goals and assisted four already this season, operating in a slightly more advanced role at times due to the introduction of Andrey Santos in a deeper role.

Liam Rosenior already shared himself how he’s given Fernandez more freedom since becoming the Chelsea boss, and it’s really paying off.

The feeling is mutual too, as Fernandez is much happier now at Stamford Bridge.

Enzo is the latest untouchable at Chelsea after his rise. But more importantly, he’s enjoying his football after links to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in January.

Speaking to Sky Sports Premier League on YouTube, he shared his delight at the way he’s been able to play under Liam Rosenior.

“I enjoy it a lot I’ve been able to add goals and assists to my game.

“I’ve been feeling good, the coach gives me freedom. He gives me freedom to express myself in the final metres of the pitch and I’ve been feeling good.

“I’m very happy to help the team, which is the most important thing.”

Even the Hull City fans were booing Alejandro Garnacho 🤣

Enzo came off the bench with around 30 minutes to go to replace Moises Caicedo, but that wasn’t initially the plan for Liam Rosenior.

He originally planned to give Caicedo less time on the field, as he looked to manage both players.

“I was planning on giving Enzo (Fernandez) 45 minutes with Moi (Caicedo) as I’m trying to manage their minutes. In the end, I felt it was right for Moi to stay on for 60.

“I’m delighted they’ve all come through unscathed, and now for the first time in a long time, we’ve got a full week to prepare for Burnley.”
