Around 12:55 p.m. Tuesday, deputies with the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office responded to Appian Way near Royal Pines Drive regarding a breaking and entering in progress.Deputies reported a large law enforcement presence as the special response team and crisis negotiation team were brought in as a precaution.Around 3:30 p.m., authorities asked people to avoid the area if possible.Just before 5 p.m., deputies said the home was cleared.
