EastEnders spoilers follow for Monday’s episode (16 February), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
EastEnders has brought back two missing characters for an important and emotional episode in Anthony Trueman’s death plot. As Patrick says goodbye to his son at Anthony’s funeral, Kat Moon gets closer to finding out who really killed him…
Big Mo has been away from Walford since November, having left to look after her granddaughter Lynne. But in today’s episode she returned, with Kat filling her in that Zoe’s plea hearing is on Thursday and her murder charge has been reduced to manslaughter.
Meanwhile, Howie has been absent from screens since his deception was exposed and he split up with Kim in December. He arrived at the house in time for Anthony’s funeral though, and Kim was grateful that he showed up.
With Kat starting to believe that Jasmine could be responsible for Anthony’s death, she urged Chrissie for information about where she could be – and Chrissie eventually revealed that the teen was working in a café in Peckham.

As Kat headed off to find Jasmine, the community stopped to pay their respects when Anthony’s hearse arrived, and his loved ones left for the church.
Sam was left to make sure Chrissie and Jake didn’t flee The Vic and the pair shared an emotional moment when she opened up to her old friend and enemy about her breast cancer – having just been told that she her lumpectomy was successful.
While Kat indeed found Jasmine at the café, she refused to speak to her and begged her to leave her alone. Kat didn’t leave though, and she later managed to convince Jasmine to return and be there for Patrick on this horrible day.

Heartbroken Patrick prepared to leave the wake, but after some poignant advice from Cindy, he decided to stay and say a few words about his son. He was overjoyed when Jasmine walked into the pub.
Jasmine apologised to Patrick for running away, but Kat forced her to go upstairs, and when she saw Chrissie and Jake, she realised that she had been lured into a trap.
Kat diffused a violent confrontation between Chrissie and Jasmine, but once alone she demanded to know the truth about Anthony’s death once and for all.

She promised Jasmine that if she admitted the truth, she wouldn’t grass her up and would let Chrissie go down for murder because Zoe wouldn’t want her daughter replacing her in prison.
This assurance was enough to persuade Jasmine to come clean and she finally confessed that she killed Anthony. But will Kat really protect her granddaughter?
