Body of woman found by hikers outside Bountiful, police say

BOUNTIFUL — A group of young teens found a woman’s body while on a hike outside Bountiful on Monday morning, police said.

Davis County Sheriff Spokesperson Stephanie Dinsmore said the group called the police at 6 a.m.

The sheriff’s office and the Bountiful Police Department were blocking off the entrance to the Mueller Park Trail.

Dinsmore said the trail would be closed for several hours while police investigated.

Authorities could not immediately confirm whether the woman’s death was suspicious, and no information about the woman was released.
