BAYCHESTER, The Bronx (WABC) — Officers made several arrests after responding to reports of up to 200 teenagers being disorderly at a mall in the Bronx on Monday afternoon.

NewsCopter 7 was over the scene in the Baychester section, where crowds of teens scattered and started running in several different directions outside the Mall at Bay Plaza.

The teens appeared to challenge officers, who started making arrests as they broke up the crowds.

Several teens were taken into custody, according to preliminary information from police, although it’s not clear yet exactly how many.

The exact charges are pending.

No further details have been provided.
