Despite being only an ATP 250 event competing with two ATP 500 events this week, Delray Beach features an excellent field this year, with basically every top American player bar Ben Shelton (resting after winning the title in Dallas) and many other high level players. This Tuesday will surely be an excellent day of tennis in Delray, with plenty of tight and high level matches.

ATP Delray Beach Day 2 Predictions
Ethan Quinn vs Rafael Jodar

Head-to-head: first meeting

Both players are young and making steady progress, but at this point in their respective careers Quinn has the edge when it comes to experience at ATP level, and he is playing at home to boot. Even if Jodar likely has more potential and will achieve more in the future, at this point it’s fair to give Quinn, who has been playing quite well so far this year, the edge in this matchup.
Prediction: Quinn in 3

Corentin Moutet vs Tommy Paul

Head-to-head: Paul 1-0 Moutet

Paul had a disappointing loss last week in Dallas to Miomir Kecmanovic, but he has another chance to make a deep run and maybe even compete for the title here, after reaching the final in 2024. Moutet is always a potentially dangerous opponent but if Paul can find his usual level he should be able to advance here and make a good run.
Prediction: Paul in 2

Brandon Nakashima vs Marin Cilic

Head-to-head: Cilic 1-0 Nakashima

Nakashima has been struggling to find his best tennis after reaching the final in Brisbane, while Cilic has started the season very well, even coming quite close to reaching the final in Dallas last week. He looks ready to at least come back to Top 30 soon if his body allows it, and might well continue his good momentum here, even if this should be a really close match either way.
Prediction: Cilic in 3
