Tammy Slaton is opening up about the state of her mental health.
In PEOPLE’s exclusive clip from the upcoming episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters, the 39-year-old has a candid conversation with then-girlfriend Andrea Dalton. Dalton admits that she’s concerned about her recent outbursts.
“How have you been feeling lately?” she asks. “Because it just seems like you’ve been down and I hate seeing you like that because you don’t seem like yourself.”
Slaton — who has since gotten engaged to Dalton — says that she’s dealing with both anxiety and depression, but she’s not sure why she’s been experiencing such ups and downs with her mood.
“I have been noticing more and more lately that I’ve had hella mood swings,” she explains in a confessional. “Like really bad, trying to keep anger down and it’s just getting worse and worse.”

“I knew something was up when you didn’t want to go to New Orleans because you always want to go on the trips, you know?” Dalton tells her.
Amid ongoing tension with her siblings, Slaton opted out of her family vacation to New Orleans. In the clip, she says her anxiety will only get worse if she’s around them.
“I just don’t wanna be freaking hot. And my family does nothing but complain,” she says. “Why would I want to deal with that? Nobody should have to deal with the b—ing 24/7. Not a goddamn person.”

“It gets on my nerves and then it starts making me shaky and I can only hold so much in,” she adds.
Despite her decision, Slaton admits that she thinks it’s “bulls—” that her family still decided to go on the trip without her.
“I don’t think it’s right,” she said. “Like me and [sister] Amanda didn’t want to go on it. So the trip should have been changed to something that everybody wanted to f—ing do. But at the same time, I don’t give a f—. I don’t wanna be around family. I don’t wanna be in a vehicle with them. Nothing.”
