Pedestrian dead after being hit by car on Gentry Parkway in Tyler

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car on Gentry Parkway on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The Tyler Police Department is still responding to the incident. The crash occurred around 3:45 p.m.
Police said a woman was killed in the crash.
All north and southbound lanes are closed to traffic in the 1400 block of East Gentry Parkway. Officers and emergency personnel are in the roadway. Drivers need to take alternate routes at this time.
