On Your Side’s Ashley Reynolds shares a message about her future at KY3

  • February 21, 2026

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – KY3’s Ashley Reynolds shares a message regarding her future at the station.

Hey there! I wanted to let you know about some big changes. This is my last day as a full-time employee at KY3. I’m not totally leaving. More on that in a second, but I want to say thank you. You played the biggest role in On Your Side. Your tips generated our most notable consumer stories. Thank you for your trust and courage to help share impactful stories about our money, safety, and health.

In the last 14 years, we sure had a lot of wins. We exposed so many scams, discovered loopholes in the fine print, and chased down a few crooked contractors. We held people accountable and gave a voice to the little guy. My best days were when customers got their money back and when a wrong was made a right. This is local journalism at its best, and you made it happen.

Thank you to my Hillcrest High School media teacher, Dave Davis, for introducing me to journalism. Thank you to the 2002 KY3 staff for giving a 17-year-old kid an internship. I’m blessed to have a battalion of incredible mentors, and it was a privilege to pay it forward with several On Your Side interns.

Thank you to our news director, Bridget Lovelle, for always having my back and giving me the time and resources to get the story right.

A special thanks to photographer Ben Knaup, who shot so many On Your Side stories. Thank you for your good eye and quick wit.

Thank you to my family. I don’t think my grandparents have ever missed a broadcast. Thank you for always understanding that being a journalist isn’t a job, but a lifestyle. Thank you for scheduling holidays and birthdays around the news. Mom, thank you for watching Josilyn so I could be here. Josiah and Josilyn, you both are my heart, and I can’t wait to be home every night.

Josiah and I also want to say thank you to all those who prayed for my safety while fighting the good fight.

I’m not leaving the Ozarks. In fact, I’m going right back where I came from … to the north side of Springfield. I’ll be working for Crosslines Community Outreach as their new spokesperson and director of development.

The nonprofit has so many fantastic programs. There’s a food pantry, diaper bank, children’s clothing closet, senior services, and I’ll help launch the new women’s shelter in the spring. There’s so much to do, and I can’t wait to share how you can get involved.

As I mentioned earlier, they’re letting me keep my building key. I’ll be around for a weekly scam segment on our Digital Desk. I’m going to still warn you about the latest scams and show the red flags. And I hope your organization or church invites me to come and speak. I’m offering Scam School for anyone who will listen to me. Just email me. (areynolds@ky3.com)

Thank you for letting me fight for you. I’ll always be On Your Side. Goodnight.
