The Phoenix Suns on Wednesday announced their 2025-26 preseason schedule, which includes a pair of games in China.

The Suns will take on the Brooklyn Nets twice at The Venetian Arena in Macao (south coast of China) on Oct. 10 and Oct. 12.

Phoenix’s preseason opener is scheduled at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California, on Oct. 3 against the Los Angeles Lakers at 7 p.m. MST. Its preseason finale is back at PHX Arena on Oct. 14 against the Lakers at 7 p.m. MST.

The first of two games in China will start at 5 a.m. MST, and the second will tip off at 4 a.m. MST.

“We are excited to bring the Phoenix Suns to Macao next year to compete in front of our passionate fans in the region,” Suns CEO Josh Bartelstein said in a press release in December. “Participating in The NBA China Games 2025 is part of our owner Mat Ishbia’s vision to bring the Suns to a global audience and impact fans across the world.”

The Suns have played games in Mexico and Japan before, as they participated in a regular season game against the San Antonio Spurs in Mexico City during the 2019-20 season.

Their trip to China will mark the first NBA games played in the country in more than five years, since former Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey posted support for protesters in Hong Kong on social media and the NBA backed his ability to express himself in 2019.

The Venetian Arena is owned by Las Vegas Sands Corp., which is run by the Adelson family — who owns the Dallas Mavericks.

All four preseason games will air on Arizona’s Family.
