Thousands of snow geese have arrived at the Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area near the Lancaster-Lebanon County line, with the Pennsylvania Game Commission reporting a count of 60,000 this morning.Video from the visitor center manager shows the birds arriving around 6:30 a.m.The game commission said Tuesday morning’s snow goose count was 60,000, after being in the low thousands over the weekend.Last year’s peak day saw 100,000 snow geese.A spokesman said with warmer daytime temperatures predicted, they will be watching to see if the birds linger or continue pushing north, with just a short stopover at Middle Creek. The snow geese appearance is three weeks past last year’s arrival.
