Beaumont — Beaumont firefighters battled flames that broke out at Settler’s Cove Apartments, 4045 Treadway, destroying the roof on one building at the complex, according to District Chief Scott Wheat.
The fire was reported at about 8:15 Tuesday night and drew a fast attack with firefighters rushing to hook up to hydrants and get water on the flames from above and ground level.
First responders worked to contain the flames while they checked to make sure everyone was safe.
They were still fighting flames and battling hot spots more than one hour later.
No injuries are reported.
