As Cassie prepares a surprise proposal, Tim leads Steve towards Victoria Gardens, but suddenly Steve’s phone rings to reveal the news that dad Jim has died. With the proposal forgotten, Cassie pulls him in for a hug.
As they toast Jim’s memory in the Rovers, Tracy notices that Cassie’s dressed up and when she clocks her slipping something into Mary’s pocket, her suspicions are aroused. Will Tracy realise that Cassie was intending to propose?
Later, Steve breaks down to Tim.
Meanwhile, Carla opens the door and is shocked to find a baby in a car seat on the doorstep. Lisa goes after the woman hurrying away to discover the baby is Connie, the daughter of Rob and Mandy, and the grandmother needs them to look after Connie while she’s in hospital.
Carla refuses point blank, despite Lisa spelling out that she’s Connie’s Auntie and without her she’ll end up in care. Will Carla be moved?
Elsewhere, a despondent George shows Christina a raft of fake one star reviews posted online, realising Annie is responsible. Glenda furiously types away, posting five star reviews about Shuttleworths in an attempt to combat the negative ones.
Also today, Brody quizzes Kit and Sarah about the attack on Mal. As they share awkward glances, Brody senses they’re hiding the truth and reports back to Bernie. Bernie confronts Kit who finally admits what happened.
Finally, in the prison, Debbie helps Lou make some bracelets for her kids. When Paula tries to steal one of the bracelets, Lou stands up to her but Debbie’s left shaken.
