A member of the U.S. men’s hockey team spotted wearing a Make America Great Again hat has been “warned” before his return to the NHL.
The U.S. men’s hockey team celebrated their gold medal with President Trump at the White House on Tuesday. The American men topped Canada, 2-1, in overtime on Sunday. It was America’s first gold medal in men’s hockey since 1980.

President Trump shouted out U.S. men’s hockey during his speech, too.
“Our country is winning again,” Trump said about 15 minutes into his speech.
“To prove that point, here with us tonight is a group of winners who just made the entire nation proud: the men’s gold medal Olympic hockey team.”

One former ESPN host is “warning” the NHL player that he is going to be targeted by every single Canadian player in the league moving forward.

Keith Olbermann, a longtime ESPN host, is “warning” Thompson that he is going to be “broken in half” by some Canadian players.
“Hi I’m Tage Thompson of the @BuffaloSabres and I’m going to spend the next few months complaining that all you people made this political (while every player on every Canadian team breaks me in half) 🤷🏼♂️,” he wrote.

The Sabres, 32-19-6, will return to play on Wednesday night against the New Jersey Devils, led by Jack Hughes.
