“Warn your loved ones.” These are the words of a recognized AI specialist who is sounding the alarm about the future of the job market. According to him, we are heading towards one of the most profound upheavals in the history of work, and most people are not prepared for it.

A transformation faster than any industrial revolution

The specialist, who has spent more than twenty years studying the impact of technology on employment, explains that the current wave of artificial intelligence is fundamentally different from previous technological revolutions. Unlike mechanization or computerization, which primarily affected manual or repetitive tasks, generative AI is now capable of performing cognitive tasks that were considered exclusively human.

Writing, analysis, programming, design, translation, legal research, medical diagnosis — the list of professions affected continues to grow. And unlike previous revolutions, which played out over decades, this transformation is happening in a matter of years.

According to this specialist, the most at-risk professions are not necessarily those people think. It’s not just factory workers or cashiers, but also journalists, lawyers, accountants, programmers, graphic designers, and many other “white-collar” professionals.

His advice is straightforward: learn to use AI tools, develop uniquely human skills (creativity, empathy, complex judgment), and above all, don’t assume your current job is safe. The transition will create new opportunities, but the adjustment period risks being particularly painful for those who haven’t anticipated the change.

“I’m not saying this to scare people,” he clarifies. “I’m saying this because the people who prepare now will be in a much better position than those who wait. And unfortunately, most people are waiting.”
