Gas leak reported at home in Lancaster City

According to Lancaster County dispatch, a call came in just before 6:45 p.m. for a residential gas leak in the 200 block of Howard Avenue. Emergency crews evacuated residents in the area of the leak.Crews cleared the scene and residents were able to go back to their homes at around 7:45 p.m. The cause of the gas leak is unknown at this time. UGI responded to the scene.

A gas leak led to evacuations in Lancaster City on Friday evening.

According to Lancaster County dispatch, a call came in just before 6:45 p.m. for a residential gas leak in the 200 block of Howard Avenue.

Emergency crews evacuated residents in the area of the leak.
