An officer got an earful about NASCAR when a woman, who sounded high, called the police concerned and confused as to why her friend hadn’t reported her dad missing after she had been looking for him all night, saying he hadn’t been heard from since 2016. She proceeded to read an article about NASCAR to the officer. The officer said police would not go looking for someone at 5:40 a.m. on a Sunday to make connections with estranged family members who didn’t ask for a welfare check.

Someone’s mother’s boyfriend reportedly kicked in a door and stole more than $10,000 before leaving in a blue Honda Element, possibly headed to Libby. The man was described as bald and wearing a blue flannel and shorts. Although a partial license plate didn’t net any information in Libby, they did have a deputy waiting for him.

Girls reportedly stole a woman’s purple Astro van from a casino parking lot that had an empty tank and contained her medication, knives and three dogs. The woman told an officer she recently bought the van and it wasn’t yet registered in her name.

Two people wearing gray hoodies and backpacks were reportedly seen on a security camera “looking through yards” and took off running from the cul-de-sac when the resident turned on the lights.

Officers received a later call about two juveniles wearing dark-colored hoodies and backpacks who were allegedly trying car door handles.

A car containing four or five teens was reportedly weaving in and out of traffic when one of the show-offs flipped off a woman before turning into the movie theater parking lot.

A woman who thought she owned the block allegedly called the police, frustrated about vehicles parked in the street from a neighbor’s party, claiming they were blocking her driveway. Officers determined no vehicles were blocking her driveway and that traffic was able to get through.  She became upset and said she was going to file a complaint to get ‘no parking signs’ installed.

Two teens whiled away some time by reportedly riding bicycles in a store and refused to leave when asked by security. They were eventually kicked out.
