Angel Reese is still a few months away from returning to the WNBA for what will be her third season with the Chicago Sky, but her offseason has been anything but quiet.

Reese has kept a packed basketball schedule, competing in the 3-on-3 Unrivaled League and preparing to represent Team USA in the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup qualifying tournament beginning in March. She’s set to participate alongside stars like Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers.

While Reese continues her busy offseason, her younger brother, Julian Reese, is celebrating a major milestone of his own. After going undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft out of University of Maryland and grinding his way through the G League, Julian officially signed a two-way NBA contract with the Washington Wizards on Saturday.

Angel didn’t take long to share her excitement for Julian, who has spent this season with the Raptors 905, the G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors.

“My baby brother,” Reese wrote. “Ugh I’m so proud of you! Your journey has never been easy & you’ve always stayed the course! Let’s go Juju!”

Standing at 6-foot-9 and 230 pounds, Julian Reese has appeared in 39 games this season for Raptors 905, averaging 7.8 points and 7.0 rebounds in 17.2 minutes per game.

He could receive a legitimate opportunity down the stretch with the Washington Wizards, who are dealing with multiple injuries and are no longer in playoff contention. At 16–42, Washington sits firmly outside the postseason picture, which could open the door for Reese to earn meaningful minutes.
