ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. (WSBT) — The bald eagles at St. Patrick’s County Park have laid their third egg of the season!
Notre Dame researchers said the egg was laid around 6:30 Friday evening.
Even though this was the third egg laid, only two remain because during incubation on Wednesday, the first egg cracked.
Researchers call it a natural but difficult part of the nesting process.
In 2025, the bald eagles at St. Patrick’s County Park laid three eggs, but none were viable.
