She finished the season with 6,764 leaderboard points, 1,420 points ahead of Week four teammate Aneesah Morrow, adding a decisive 642 leaderboard points in the final week of the season while securing her 11th game MVP award.

She averaged 26.2 points per contest across the season and delivered double-digit scoring performances in all 12 of her appearances, breaking the 20 point threshold in nine of those outings. During the season, she made history by becoming the first player to surpass 30,000 leaderboard points. Her dominant run started with 18 points versus Team Eclipse in Week One, and she continued to trend upwards from there on her path to the long awaited league title.

In her previous AU Pro Basketball Seasons, Sims finished in 6th place (2022), and 3rd place (2023) before capturing back-to-back runner-up titles in 2024 and 2025.

Second-Place Medalist: Aneesah Morrow

Aneesah Morrow made a splash in her AU debut and consistently showcased her well-rounded game through all four weeks of competition. She earned her place as captain of Team Rhythm in Week Two, and received six game MVP nods throughout the season.

Morrow maintained an 17.6 point scoring average while recording 11 double figure scoring performances across her 12 appearances. She recorded a season-best 25 points on two occasions–once in Week Three and once in Week 4. She ranked second in the league standings in points, rebounds, and steals per game, and third in leaderboard stat points per game. 

Third-Place Medalist: Rebekah Gardner

Rebekah Gardner held a quiet command over the leaderboard from Week One on after posting the second highest leaderboard score in the opening week. She remained in a captain’s role for the remainder of the competition, guiding Team Glow, Team Rhythm, and Team Glow once again to close out the season, and held fast to the second place position until the final game, when she was overtaken by Morrow.

She held a 6-3 record as a captain and proved herself as one of the league’s most efficient shooters while capturing three game MVP awards during the season. She ranked second in the league in field goal percentage and three-point percentage and fifth overall free throw percentage. She averaged 12.8 points per game and closed out the season by collecting 248 leaderboard points to secure her third-place finish. 

Fourth-Place Medalist: Tina Charles

Though she was brand new to AU, veteran center Tina Charles entered Season 5 as one of the most experienced players on the roster. That experience was apparent as she notched 11 double-figure performances, including five outings with 20 or more points. 

Charles broke into the top four leaderboard positions in time for the final week of play, and captained Team Rhythm to a tight 91-87 win over Team Eclipse to close out the season for the squad in blue. She ranked in the top five in the league in points, rebounds, and leaderboard stats per game, and earned seven game MVP nods throughout the competition.

Defensive Player of the Year: Natasha Mack

Natasha Mack earned Defensive Player of the Year honors after standing out as a model of defensive dominance. In her Debut season, she led the league in blocks (3) and rebounds (13.2) per game . She also set a new league single-season blocks record when she reached 29 during Week Four, and finished the season with 35 total.

She finished the season with 4,777 total leaderboard points and secured an fifth-place finish. She served as captain of Team Glow in Week Three, and recorded 10.8 points per game throughout the season while earning two game MVP awards.

Newcomer of the Year: Kaitlyn Chen

Kaitlyn Chen earned Newcomer of the Year honors after a breakout AU debut that saw her quickly become one of the league’s most sought-after guards. Chen earned her place as team captain of Team Gold Rush after a dominant debut week, and went on to climb the ranks of multiple league stat categories. 

She finished the season averaging 14.8 points per game, 4.9 assists per game, and 3.6 rebounds per game while ranking second in assists per game and third in three-point percentage.

Her season high scoring performance came in Week Three when she posted 32 points versus team Gold Rush. She finished sixth on the final leaderboard with 4,593 total points, which was a total boosted by four game MVP awards.

Impact Award: Jacy Sheldon

Jacy Sheldon was awarded the 2026 Impact Award, which recognizes athletes who have demonstrated exceptional civic leadership through their Athlete Cause and community engagement. Sheldon played the 2026 season for Beyond Ability Matters, an organization that provides resources, experiences, and services to individuals with special needs. Sheldon’s connection to the cause is rooted in her family–her sister Emmy, who has Down syndrome, and her aunt Kristyn, who serves as CEO of the organization.
