As Bravo fans know, Carole left RHONY after Season 10 and had a highly public falling out with executive producer (and real-life pal) Andy Cohen. The two finally squashed their beef last year, and Carole has been dipping her toes back into the Bravoverse ever since. Now, she’s fully diving back into the Housewives world.
According to a report from Variety, Carole is set to reprise her role on the long-running reality show for Season 16. She will join the series as a “friend of.” The long-despised RHONY reboot might have just won over some fans.
The news of Carole’s addition to Season 16 arrives following a year-long hiatus for the franchise. Andy said that they were working on getting the casting right, and it looks like it might have happened.
Although Bravo hasn’t officially confirmed the full cast, rumor has it that Erin Lichy, Sai De Silva, and Jessel Taank will all return to the show. The reboot’s other cast members. Jenna Lyons, Brynn Whitfield, and Racquel Chevremont have all confirmed their departures.
Following a tip from DeuxMoi, Variety also shared a few names of newbies who are rumored to be a part of the Season 16 cast. That includes Daisy Toye, the makeup artist to Martha Stewart, Hailey Glassman, who previously dated Jon Gosselin, and Erika Hammond, a former WWE Diva.
Additionally, the gossip site reported that Real Housewives of Salt Lake City showrunner Lori Gordon would be taking over the reins of RHONY. So it looks like Bravo is rebooting the RHONY reboot, and they might have struck gold.
The Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock.
