The boil advisory that was in effect for the city of Brighton has been lifted.

The original notice was issued Friday, February 27th. The Brighton Municipal Water Supply had a problem in the distribution system, and the system lost pressure on Friday. Due to the potential for a bacterial contamination, the boil water advisory has been issued. The system was repaired, repressurized, and bacteria samples were collected.

Water is again safe for consumption or use. Further steps, such as running water for at least five minutes or replacing any ice created by automatic ice makers, are still recommended.
