SHAVER LAKE, Calif. (FOX26) — In Shaver Lake, a man got an unexpected wake-up call Wednesday morning.

Mike Giubini checked his home security camera around 7:30 a.m. and spotted something you don’t see every day.

On his camera were three mountain lions casually strolling across his driveway.

The video shows the trio walking one after the other, unbothered and seemingly on a mission, as they passed through the area.

Giubbini says some other people have spotted the big cats too, and believe there may actually be four mountain lions traveling together.

According to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), mountain lions are native to California and are typically solitary animals, making sightings like this especially rare.

CDFW says mountain lions attacks on humans are rare.

Since 1890, there have been six known fatal human attacks by mountain lions in California.
