While Rage Against The Machine‘s continued absence during these politically divisive times remains a sore spot for some, the band’s guitarist Tom Morello has remained active in flying the flag for the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame-inducted band’s music and their legacy.
While still politically active, less visible these days however is the band’s incendiary frontman Zack de la Rocha. Last year saw him resurface to throw his support behind a benefit shirt that raised money for the The Coalition for Human Immigrant Rights. He was also featured in the documentary ‘Intense Energy: The Sound Of Skateboarding’.
His latest venture finds him serving as one of the executive producers on a new documentary on the punk band Dead City Punx. That feature, directed by Roger Gastman, tells the tale of the notorious Los Angeles outfit of the same name, who are known for staging politically-motivated protest shows and running afoul of local authorities for their impromptu raucous live shows in unauthorized areas.
That documentary is scheduled to debut April 16th at The Regent Theater in Los Angeles, CA on April 16th. You can find a trailer for it below:
