Caitlin Clark played just 13 games in the 2025 WNBA season due to a groin injury and an eventual bone bruise. As a result of her health setback, she missed both the Commissioner’s Cup championship and the playoffs.
The two-time All-Star averaged 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 8.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game. She shot 36.7% from the field and 27.9% from deep in the limited time she was on the court.

While fans didn’t see a lot of Clark in action during the past season, the Fever star should be able to more than make up for it this March.

Clark has been selected as a member of Team USA that will play in the FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, along with Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers and Kiki Iriafen, among many others. She has already recovered from her previous ailments and was able to join the national team’s training camp back in December.
After Team USA announced the updated roster on Thursday, the Fever naturally showed their support for Clark.

“let’s go, CC!” the Fever wrote in the comment section of the post.
It’s worth noting that Team USA’s announcement came amid Aliyah Boston’s removal from the lineup.
Boston was included in the Team USA roster when it was revealed in early February. However, she suffered a lower-body injury during the 2026 Unrivaled season. Boston, who was a member of Phantom BC in the 3-on-3 league, missed the playoffs of the tournament as a result.
The Fever forward was replaced by Los Angeles Sparks forward Rae Burrell in the Team USA lineup.

Despite the unfortunate turn of events, it didn’t stop the Fever from cheering for their player. Clark isn’t the only Indiana member heading to Puerto Rico for the qualifiers, though, as head coach Stephanie White will serve as an assistant coach for the USA.
